Winter Activties
Skiers will love staying at the Bachlerhof, as the lifts to South Tyrol's number one ski resort and Brunico's landmark mountain, Plan de Corones, are located at a short walking distance from our house.
Bruneck und der Kronplatz
At Plan de Corones you will find modern ski lifts and over 110km of excellently maintained ski slopes. You can even enjoy the Sellaronda by starting directly at the Bachlerhof, without having to take your car - the Piculin ski lift connects Plan de Corones with the Sellaronda ski circuit. Or hop on the Val Pusteria Ski Express train that will take you all the way up to Sesto if you wish.

We recommend the Plan de Corones Ski and Snowboard School to all our guests who wish to either take up skiing or improve their style. They also offer great lessons for children.
Cross-country skiers will love the run in Riscone or go on a day trip to Anterselva, Casies and Riva di Tures and try the runs there.
If you feel like doing something different for a change, why not go ice skating or tobogganing? Enjoy the winter wonderland walking through the snow, or go on a snow shoe hike in the surroundings.
Local as well as international sports events are held each winter in the Val Pusteria Valley, including ice hockey in Brunico, the biathlon world cup in Anterselva, Tour de Ski in Dobbiaco, ski world cup races and a lot more.
