Brunico
The medieval town Brunico lies in the heart of the Val Pusteria Valley.
Brunico is the place where the Val Aurina and the Val Badia Valleys join the Val Pusteria Valley. The Brunico Castle can be seen from afar on its wooded hill, the Rainkirche Church is located nearby. One of the Messner Mountain Museums is now located in the Castle which was built in the 13th century. If you step through one of the Town Gates, you will find yourself in the middle of the hustle and bustle. Small shops and boutiques, cafés and wine stores will make you never want to go back home again.
Brunico is 3km away from the Bachlerhof and can be reached by car or Citybus (the bus stop is 200m away from our house), or just take a 40min. walk.
